So Thoughtful

Hello Angela here and Happy July! Half a year gone! Where did it go???  We are on school holidays here and I have been super busy!  I have a thank you card ( of sorts) and I have used my distress inks.  I have used some vellum to soften the gorgeous vibrant colour behind and I wanted to try a different way to adhere the vellum and I love the way it has turned out.  I have embossed the flower in black as It didn't stand out enough when the vellum was over the top.  Hope you are keeping warm! ☺

*Trim Yellow card stock 9cm x 26.5 cm and fold in half portrait style.
* With an acrylic block, smudge the distress inks all over (use lightest colour first)
*Once fully covered, give 2 quick sprays of water ( or perfect peals for a bit of shimmer)
* Place block ink side down onto the watercolour paper
* Press evenly to distribute the colours, but be careful not to move the acrylic block.
*Once you are happy with the colour, lift block straight up.
* Using a small paintbrush, tidy the edges
*leave to dry (or use a heat gun if you are impatient, but be careful not to warp the paper)
* Go over with a stamp buddy
*stamp MFT scribble rose using Versa Mark stamping a little off centre.
*Completely cover in Black embossing powder and heat set.
*Trim Vellum to 9cm x 15 cm and score at 1.5 cm
*Emboss sentiment and heat set.
*Adhere enamel dots as shown
*Fold over the top of the card and adhere with two strips of Teresa Collins Decorative tape.

  1. Love this card Angela! What a clever way to adhere the vellum, which is so essential to the soft beauty of this card!
